Alan Burke is the owner of Burkie's Surf School and is living his vision of seeing those interested in the sport become skilled surfers. He is no stranger to the waters as he has repeatedly been an avid competitor and a Barbados Champion surfer.

 

Burkie's Surf School is located on Long Beach on Barbados' south coast. A location that augurs well for surfing lessons as this beautiful long stretch of beach with its cooling breezes provide ideal conditions for surfing. Lessons are coordinated in 1 - 3ft surfs.

Services & Rates

"Learn the basics"

6 hrs comprise of:

1st visit lesson 1 and 2 are done together
Lesson #1, 2  -  Information & Surfing: (30 min practical, 1 1/2 hr surfing)
Lesson #3, 4, 5, 6  -

Surfing (Scheduled after each lesson)
Group: 6hrs  - BDS $390.00 (US $195.00)  -  Deposit: BDS $50.00 ($25.00)
Private: 6hrs  -  BDS $660.00 (US $330.00)  - Deposit: BDS $60.00 ($30.00)

 

"Experience the thrill"

2hrs comprise of:

30 minutes Practical & 1 1/2 hours Surfing
Group: 2hrs - BDS $150.00 (US $75.00) - Deposit: BDS $20.00 (US $10.00)
Private: 2hrs - BDS $230.00 (US $115.00) - Deposit: BDS $30.00 (US $15.00)
Private: 1hr - BDS $120.00 (US $60.00) - Deposit: BDS $20.00 (US $10.00)

Bring: Swimsuit, sun block, towel and 
the ability to swim.

Transfers can be arranged (Additional cost)

 

Board Rentals

Rates: (Soft & Fibreglass) $30.00 ($15.00us) hr or $60.00 ($30.00us) day.
