A Meeting in Progress, Barbados Pocket Guide

Business Vacations

Planning to take a break, but need to get some business done? Then travel to Barbados, an island with its pulse on the affairs of the business world.

Whether you are coming alone to attend a meeting or are planning a seminar and need to have access to full conference services, you can travel comfortably to the shores of Barbados and be confident that all aspects will be handled to your satisfaction.

There is a wide selection of living accommodation available and many of the major hotels, like Accra Beach Hotel, Tamarind, Hilton, The Savannah and Royal Pavillion, to name a few, are well appointed to receive both the average and executive business traveler. Access to Wireless internet and Wi-Fi are now becoming common place at many locations as this is an expected necessity for the travelling public. Many of the hotels are designed with a number of meeting rooms to meet the increasing demand for such services.

The island is home to many experienced event planners and conference producers. Indeed, the staff at Barbados Conference Services at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre specialize in that area, with that specific location being home to several Heads of Government and other high-profile meetings over the years.

Access to multi-media and other projector equipment, interpreters, public address and other systems can be arranged as part of the package or be organized by a conference organizer. If you are certain that there are some specialty items or implements which will be needed and are not likely to be readily found in Barbados, then it would be best to travel with them. Apart from that, there is unlikely to be any piece of equipment or configuration requested which cannot be resourced for your meeting.

Mix business with pleasure - plan your meeting in Barbados!
