BayView Hospital, BarbadosThis privately owned and operated hospital is located in the parish of St. Michael on the outskirts of the capital city of Bridgetown, Barbados. It was established in 1989 with a sole mission that clearly states "to give optimum care to all our patients in our Home Away From Home setting." There are seven (7) private rooms and four (4) semi-private rooms that are all equipped with ceiling fans and air-conditioning units. BayView Hospital offers patients a choice of private rooms with vanity, en suite bathroom, telephone, and cable television, or shared accommodation in spacious four bed units with shared bathrooms.

Facilities and ServicesHighly trained nurses in this High Dependency Unit are always available to offer one-on-one attention to patients and also provide a caring shoulder and sympathetic ear for family members should the need arise.
The Operating Theatre suite consists of three (3) theatres and a purpose built Day Unit which accommodates six (6) patients. In this Unit, patients for Day Surgery are managed from admission to discharge. This is a particularly busy and efficient unit since they offer Day Surgery in a number of specialties.
The excellent facilities, services and physicians at BayView Hospital are all complemented by a team of dedicated and professional nursing and administrative staff. Through continuous training, including overseas attachments, they ensure that their staff attain the highest level of technical and interpersonal skills necessary to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
Besides our caring and efficient staff, patients of the Hospital will come into contact with members of our "Friends of BayView". A charitable organisation, the Friends are present in the Hospital to assist patients with non-medical services.
The in-house engineering team is always on hand to ensure that any problems are rectified in the shortest possible time.
The backup generator protects sensitive surgical equipment from failure in the event of a power cut and ensures that any surgical procedure in progress can be completed in a safe manner.
At BayView Hospital, the strictest Infection Control Standards are observed in order to protect both our staff and our patients from exposure to diseases. Patients have a choice of a variety of tasty meals cooked and served from our in-house kitchen.
Meal times for patients are: Breakfast 8:00am - 9:30am
At BayView you have a variety of payment options. You can pay either by cash, cheque or we by local and overseas health insurance as well as Visa and Mastercard Credit Cards.
Family members of patients may also purchase items from the kitchen. An in-house Pharmacy and spacious free parking for both patients and visitors are also available at this facility.
