West CoastShopping on the west coast of Barbados is typically more upscale than on the south coast of the island and this experience has now been epitomized by the opening of the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre where you can purchase designer goods in the calm, tranquil, tropical surroundings that you can only find here in Barbados. It is within this mall that you would find the exclusive shops of Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Armani A/X, Ralph Lauren in addition to many other brand named stores that will soon be opening their doors.
The west coast of the island of Barbados also has two other shopping centres. The Sunset Mall is a quaint little shopping centre which is anchored by an outlet of Barbados largest department store, Cave Shepherd, which also has a Colombian Emeralds outlet within the store. The West Coast Mall is slightly larger and is where you will find stores like Diamonds International, Colombian Emeralds and a Cave Shepherd outlet with a Pages Bookstore all anchored by the large Super Centre Supermarket. Within this mall you will also find an outlet of Mademoiselle Shoe Store, a travel agency and numerous other high quality stores and novelty booths. The west coast area is also home to the beautifully appointed Chattel Village which will delight you as you meander through its pathways and venture into these quaint little shops where Barbadian souvenirs and handicrafts abound.
Many of the hotels located along this stretch of the Barbadian coast also house many shops where clothing, jewelry and souvenirs may be purchased. Shopping along Barbados' west coast is truly an exquisite experience. Incidentally, most of these shopping areas offer Duty Free shopping to all visitors to Barbados but you must make sure that you have your travel documents in order to expedite the process and reap the significant savings.
Additionally, there are several supermarkets and convenience stores which literally dot this coastline where you can get just about anything that you will need, be it toiletries or that much needed bottle of Barbados rum to ensure that your stay here in Barbados is a pleasant and memorable.
