Culpepper Island

Culpepper Island is a very, very small uninhabited island off the east coast of Barbados. It is closest in proximity to the areas of Bayfield and Ragged Point in the same parish. It consists of a largely rocky formation with some natural vegetation, and measures two hundred and twenty (220) ft by seventy-five (75) ft, rising only twenty (20) ft above sea level.

On occasion, it may be possible to swim or walk over the to Culpepper from the mainland, however it is hardly encouraged as the waters on that side of the island are predominantly choppy and quite unpredictable. One is therefore recommended to admire it from a distance and the relatively safety of the cliffside overlooking the water.
