On arrival to Barbados via air, one of the first places you will come into contact with is the Grantley Adams International Airport, an airport that is considered to be the Caribbean's leading and most ultra-modern airport. While on these grounds, depending on the time of day, you can take a trip to the Barbados Concorde Experience. Home to the British Airways Concorde G-BOAE. A walk through affords you the opportunity to learn all about the technology that has been invested into this aircraft.
Just around the corner from the Grantley Adams International Airport, one can find the Barbados Light Aeroplane Club. A club that was conceptualised by the late Errol Walton Barrow as a recreational/pilot training for private pilots qualifications.
A drive away from the Grantley Adams International Airport can take you toward Oistins, a fishing village here in Barbados that is home to the annual Oistins Fish Festival.
As per the island is surrounded by water, the same can be said of the many churches that can be found on the island. The parish church is called Christ Church Parish Church and others of historical interest are the likes of the St. Lawrence Anglican Church and St. Patricks Church to name a few.
